The purpose of this article is to guide the user when utilizing Alleo Multishare.
MultiShare Start Page
There are two main options on the start page for MultiShare
Start New
Click on "Start New" if you want to begin a new session with a blank template.
Join existing
If there's an ongoing session, you'll need to enter the code found at the bottom of the screen of that existing board. After entering the code, click "Join" to enter the session.
MultiShare Session
In the session, users are represented on other devices by a cursor and their name.
Menu/Uploading Content
On the bottom left, there's a menu where users can perform several actions:
Add a screen share
Upload files
Add a whiteboard
Save and exit
There are many ways for users to add content. They can add content from their computer by clicking the “Upload files” button. They are also able to add content by copying and pasting from their computer files or an external source on their device.
Compatible content for the MultiShare board can be a file (JPG, PNG, MP3, PDF, etc.), a screen share window, or a whiteboard and will be visible on each user’s display.
Content uploaded by any user can be moved or deleted by any user in the session.
Change View
On the bottom right, there’s a button that can be used to zoom in on each section. Keep clicking this button to return to the main quad overview.
Ending the session
At the end of the session, users have two options: to save or to exit.
If the last user remaining in the session exits without anyone saving, all the work on that board will be lost.
Saving
To save, users need to enter their email address. A link to the board will be sent, and it will also be saved to their Alleo dashboard.
Sharing the board
If you want to share a board with another user, follow these steps:
First, sign into your Alleo account at meet.withalleo.com.
Access the board and click the top to show its header bar.
Click on the blue share button.
Select the "Open on display" tab and choose the desired device name.
