Prerequisites/Requirements

  • An active Alleo user account is required to create and manage boards. Users without an account can only join as a guest.

  • The Alleo app must be installed via the Microsoft Teams Marketplace to add boards to calls or Microsoft Teams tabs.

  • You can Get it now in the Microsoft Teams Marketplace.
    Important Note - please ensure you have an existing Team created as you will be prompted to select during the installation process.

How can I add an Alleo board to a Microsoft Teams video call?

  1. Create a new calendar invite using the Calendar section of the Teams platform.

  2. Save the invite.

  3. Select the calendar invite and click "Edit."

  4. Click to "+" button at the top to search for apps. Type "Alleo."

  5. Select the "Alleo" application.

  6. If you have not yet authenticated, select the "Login" button.

  7. Sign in via the popup window.

  8. To create a new board, select the "+" icon. Alternatively, select an existing board.

  9. Click "Save" to add the board as a tab at the top of the Teams call.

  10. After joining the call, select the Alleo board at the top of the window.

  11. On the right side of the window, select the "Share" button at the bottom of the Alleo app. This will open the board.

    1. Note: users who are not board members will enter the guest page. To allow guest users, select the users panel and configure the board to "auto-allow" guest users.

Note: you can also add Alleo to the board during a call. Currently, you can only add Alleo boards to meetings created on the "Calendar" page in Microsoft Teams.

How can I add an Alleo board to a Microsoft Teams channel?

  1. In Microsoft Teams, select the desired "Team."

  2. Select the channel associated with the team.

  3. Click the "+" button and search for "Alleo." When prompted, add Alleo to the Team.

  4. Follow the instructions to login and select your Alleo board.

  5. Any users with access to the Alleo board can simply open it in the Teams tab.

    1. Note: users who are not board members will enter the guest page. To allow guest users, select the users panel and configure the board to "auto-allow" guest users.
