Archiving boards in Alleo is an effective way to reduce clutter while maintaining access to important information. This guide explains when to use My Archive or the Organization Archive and how these features can simplify your workflow.
Sending a board to My Archive or the Organization Archive does not eliminate the storage a board consumes.
When should I use "My Archive"?
Archiving a board to My Archive is ideal when:
I want to keep the board private while clearing the clutter from my dashboard.
I may want to restore the board at a later time.
When a board is in My Archive, I can:
Export it to an external file that could be imported at a later time.
Create a copy to be available my dashboard.
Restore it to bring it back into the original state.
Delete it if I no longer need it.
To send to My Archive:
Navigate to the dashboard.
Select the "..." submenu associated with the board.
Select "Send to archive."
Select "My archive."
When should I use the "Organization Archive?"
Archiving to the Organization Archive works best when:
I want to share view-only access with my organization. Everyone in my organization can access the board without requiring me to handle permission management.
I want to clean up my dashboard. Like My Archive, this option keeps my workspace organized.
I do not need to restore the board with its original member permissions. Once the board is archived, Org Admins can take over managing access and usage.
What can Org Admins do with archived boards?
Copy share links.
Export the board for offline use.
Create copies for future projects.
Restore the board, sharing the board to the admin with board owner permissions.
Delete the board.
Other members of my organization can:
Click the board name in the archive to view it.
Copy share links.
To send to the Organization Archive:
Navigate to the dashboard.
Select the "..." submenu associated with the board.
Select "Send to archive."
Select "Organization archive."
