Welcome to the sticky notes guide!
The sticky note tool allows you to accomplish the following:
Gather your ideas and post them anywhere on the board.
Just like in real life, sticky notes will stick to any other objects.
Multiple colors are supported to represent different ideas.
Sticky notes can be easily converted into common shapes such as circles and triangles.
How do I add a sticky note?
Select Other Tools from the main menu.
Select Sticky Note.
Drag the desired sticky note color to place a sticky note onto the board.
In the illustration below, we have dragged a blue sticky note onto the board.
How do I add text to any sticky note?
You can select the sticky note by clicking or touching any part of it.
Select the middle of the sticky note to activate the text area.
After you finish typing, deselect the sticky note by selecting the board background or any other asset.
You can select all text by double clicking or double tapping the text.
In the illustration below, we placed "hello world" text into a blue sticky note.
How do I change the color of any existing Sticky Note?
Select the sticky note. Note that this exposes the menus associated with the sticky note asset.
The round icon on the far left allows you to change the color of the sticky note. Once you select this, it will bring up the color options.
Simply select a new color to update the background.
In the example below, we are toggling the different background color options for the selected sticky note.
How do I change the outline color of any Sticky Note?
Select the sticky note. Note that this exposes the menus associated with the sticky note asset.
The second option from the left allows you to change the outline color. Select this icon to display the outline color options. The slash option will remove the outline.
Select the desired color to update the Sticky Note outline.
In the example below, we are toggling the different outline color options for the selected sticky note.
How do I change the shape of any sticky note?
Select the sticky note to display the menu options.
Select the shape button. By default, the sticky note is square.
Select the desired shape icon to update the sticky note shape.
In the example below, we are toggling various shape options for the selected sticky note.
