What's new?
The Users panel is now divided into three sections: Guests, Online users, and Offline users. When guests are in the lobby, you will be notified to use the Guests section to allow them in. The offline section shows a list of users who have access to the board specifically when those users are not currently in the board.
When joining a Haptic call, now you can test your microphone and manage your audio and video devices from a single modal. This provides reassurance that your video call devices are ready to go.
Now you can create an alias for your user name, and the alias will be shown in the users panel instead of your name. This is useful if you want to display team names or other key symbols instead of your real name. Simply click the user dropdown in the upper right part of the screen and select "My Profile" to update the alias.
Enhancements
As a user with "owner" permissions, now you can quickly toggle the visibility of all cursors in the board. Simply select the cursor dropdown in the users panel and select "hide/show all cursors."
Guest users now have "viewer" permissions by default. You can optionally elevate any user level via the "..." menu that is associated with a particular user.
The user profile page is now accessible from the upper-right user dropdown, and we have converted this to a modal for easier access.
Now there is a board setting for default slide transitions. These transitions are applied when you use the arrow keys to navigate.
Now you can perform custom widget capabilities, and the data will be synchronized across multiple Haptic boards.
When using the "active speaker" feature, if video is disabled, now it will show the user's avatar.
As a user with "owner" permission, now you can toggle the visibility of your cursor. This option is in the "..." menu next to your user in the users list.
To keep boards clean, we have updated the cursor visibility to disappear after 3 seconds of inactivity.
When deleting multiple assets via multi-select, now users are prompted with a message to ensure they are intending to delete the assets.
When a live video asset is not currently broadcasting live video, it now contains additional text to indicate that the stream is "inactive."
We have removed the video call button from the users list, and now third party call providers can be found in the header under the phone icon.
Now users with "contributor" permissions can edit sticky notes that were added by other users. Users with "contributor" permissions can also move and edit sticky notes that are in freeform containers.
Now Organizational Administrators can decide whether to enable or disable the "active speaker" feature.
When a presenter exits presentation mode, now users who joined the full-screen experience will remain in full-screen mode. This makes it easier to transition between multiple presenters without having to re-join the full-screen mode.
As a board owner, now you can see who is in a user group via the share modal. Simply click the group name to view the list of users.
Now you can lock assets that are grouped. Simply select and lock the asset group via the lock icon in the asset context menu. This is useful when you want to build background content that is not intended to be selected.
Now you can see how your user name appears to other users by simply hovering over the "Me" text in the users list.
Now you can configure a sticky note to change colors when adding or removing it into a container. This option can be found in the actions section of a sticky note, and this is useful for building color-coded team exercises.
