What's new?

  • When joining a call, now you can automatically add live video to a container based upon the user level. This is useful when you want the live video of your participants to automatically show up in a unique board layout.

  • Introducing Container Grid Mode! Now the container tool has the ability to automatically position assets into rows and columns. This is useful when you want to quickly display a larger amount of assets (e.g. images, live video, documents, etc.). This setting can be enabled via the settings button in a container's asset context menu.

  • As a board owner, now you can create custom user level names to replace the default user level names. This is useful when you have specific category names such as teachers and students (e.g., instead of "owner" and "viewer"). You can update the names via board settings, and it is specifically retained for the current board.

Enhancements

  • Now you can sort your board members by last name via the Share modal.

  • Board chat now automatically focuses the cursor into the chat field when navigating to the chat panel. Pressing the 'escape' key will then close the Communicate panel.

  • Board settings have been separated into multiple categories in the modal to remove the clutter.

  • When testing the microphone, now you can single click the "test microphone" button to begin testing. It will record for 4 seconds and then play back your audio. You no longer have to know to press and hold to record when testing.

  • When you are displaying a Notepad while in Follow mode, now the Notepad's scrollbar will sync for all users so you can be sure other users are viewing the same notes.

  • When a board owner ends a call via the "End call" button in the "phone" icon dropdown, users are now prompted for a satisfaction survey. As an admin, now you can navigate to the analytics page to see the satisfaction level; you can even see a list of users who filled out the survey to determine what may be causing the satisfaction response on a scale of 1-5.

  • Now there is a board setting to disable zoom and pan for all users in the board. This is useful when you create a custom button navigation experience.

  • Now you can see a user's avatar when the user has an inactive live video or screenshare asset on the board (when the user is not sharing content). If the user does not have an avatar, a silhouette image is displayed.

  • As a template designer, now you can build custom navigation based upon the location of any asset on the board. This is useful when you want users to navigate without adding a view or slide to your presentation.

  • As a template designer, now you can click a specific asset to create an button action target instead of specifying the asset by the asset title.

  • The Notepad user interface has been enhanced so that the header tools are easier to select.

  • Now the Notepad has a button in the asset context menu to show or hide the Notepad header tools. We have also removed the border, so now you can display uniquely formatted text on top of other background content.

  • As an org admin, now you can trigger a password reset email via the web admin.

  • When joining a video call, now you can press a button to edit the voice gate settings. We also provide more detailed info about what a voice gate is and how to use it. This setting used to be enabled by default.

  • Guest "auto-allow" settings are now only remember for the current session so you are always aware when guest users can edit.

  • The activity log now contains an entry when a user downloads an asset via the asset library or button.

  • Hotkeys are now available via the help section in the user dropdown in the upper right. You can also access them by pressing the shift + / keys.

Resolved Issues

  • User alias names now show up in chat, the cursor, and board notifications.

  • Recurring calendar events now show up properly in the experimental calendar feature.

  • As a viewer, if you decide not to join presentation mode (e.g., by exiting the prompt), now there is a notification that allows you to join at a later time.

  • When joining a presentation, the notification now times out automatically so that it is less distracting.

  • The contributor user type no longer has an active speaker button in the toolbar.

  • Contributor users no longer can move freeform containers.
