The VNC Widget allows you to connect to and control another system via VNC Server connection. Simply navigate to the widgets directory and drag the VNC widget to the board.

Please note that as of 5/1/2023, the VNC Widget has been removed from the Widget Library. If there is a specific need, please reach out to Alleo for information on how you can use this via the "External Widget" function.

To connect, add the host ID, port ID, and password under the widget settings menu.

Host

IP address or Host address (e.g. remotepc.net) of VNC server

Port

Port used to connect to the VNC server

Password

Password used to connect to the VNC servers.

Once you have saved the information, select the asset and click the connect icon to connect to the VNC host.

Limitations

  • Each viewer will connect to the VNC separately. You may experience issues when a large number of users simultaneously connect.

  • The VNC widget can only connect to public IP addresses (private or local IP addresses are currently not supported).

The Alleo VNC Widget supports the original VNC standard. Note: Alleo is not a provider of VNC systems or system configuration. Please contact with your IT admin to configure your Virtual Network Computing environment.
