Locations and slides are both ways to navigate around an Alleo board. Although some of their aspects regarding navigation are the same, they function in different ways.

Locations

With an Alleo board having an infinite canvas, it may be difficult to keep track of where content is placed. Locations can be set for ease of navigation throughout the board. To add a location, go to the desired viewport on the board. Then, open the Navigation Panel from the toolbar and click “Add location”. This will set your current viewport as a location in your Navigation Panel. Use the three dots next to the location to rename, share, and change other settings.

Slides

Slides are a type of location. You can recognize a slide by the black bar at the top with the slide title in it. A slide is customizable by changing its background image, resizing and scaling, and adding various content onto it. Any content you place into your slide will stick to that slide and move around the board with it (shown below). You may add a new slide by using the Navigation Panel or by using the Add Slide icon on the submenu of a separate slide.
