Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Calling

  • Peer-to-Peer WebRTC is a decentralized media protocol allowing streams to be exchanged directly between peers.

  • P2P works best for simple video chat applications with two to four concurrent participants.

  • Media encoding occurs on the hardware at end of the "sending" system's connection. Therefore, a limited number of stream are recommended.

How to Enable

Peer-to-Peer calling is located under Board Settings, under the Video call tab. From there, enable peer to peer connection by clicking "Use P2P connection for Audio and Video."

Upon saving this change, all users will be prompted to refresh the board for the changed setting to take effect.
