Overview
Within Alleo's Widget Library there is a polling widget. This article will describe how to set up a poll and in addition how to connect it to a QR code to accept responses from a phone.
How To Create a Poll:
add a slide to your board
Add the polling widget, you can find it in the widget library
click and drag it onto your slide
in the widget add the question and possible answers
Then we recommend sizing it to fit the space that you'd like
using the bottom right button
click once to get to the cross with arrows
You can then resize as you need
Adding a QR Code for Poll:
The best practice for using a QR code for the phone, would be to create the poll on a slide that is the correct dimensions for your phone. Once that is set, then proceed with the following steps.
go to the navigation panel by selecting the navigation button on the left tool bar
select the 3 dots on the slide with your poll
Select Share
Create restricted slide link
Copy QR code of link
make sure to then click SAVE
then paste that QR code anywhere you want it
You now have a QR code that if canned with your phone will take you directly to this slide and be able to engage with the widget.
